Cub Scout Pack 0013 Report

We are almost to April and the end of our Cub Scout 2023/2024 season. On Monday, April

1st we will have our last parent's meeting to discuss last-minute details for our Blue and Gold

ceremony on April 6th. This is our end-of-year ceremony where all scouts who have earned

their rank advancements will receive them and we will have a potluck dinner.  We ended the

year strong, with 60 registered scouts and 12 adult leaders!!! Over the summer, we will

continue to get together about once a month and then the next season will begin August 5th.

Can't wait!!! Thank you all at the Church for everything you do for us, it wouldn't be possible

without you!

Sincerely,

Brannon Kirk

A Word from Worship

Greetings New Life Church family and friends,

What a glorious Easter Sunday! I hope everyone had the opportunity to take part in one of our four Easter services or online. The weather was perfect! The Sunrise service at 6:30am filled Gilchrist Park with approximately 500 people who heard an uplifting message given by Pastor Bob Schoolcraft from Friendship Church. It's always so awesome to watch it get light and witness the Sunrise. Each worship service was special and had its own special touch - with the same powerful message - He is Risen! The music at each service was special and outstanding. A special "thank you" to Debbie Loomis for her beautiful solo performance at the 9:15 service. Of course, we are very blessed to have the expertise of Mary Beth Khamis, our incredible Music Director, who has made music come alive. Prayers of glory to God for our faithful church family for coming out in large numbers to hear our Pastors' Easter messages of hope. I have to believe that Pastor Mike's messages and calls to be a church of persistent and powerful prayer have been answered by the Prayer Room vigil which challenged us to come in to our Prayer room an hour at a time, or to devote specific times of prayer at home. My prayer is that we don't let this prayer challenge slack off. Please continue to go online and reserve an hour of your week to use this room for dedicated prayer time; read the words of encouragement on the wailing wall or in the prayer journal in there. If you're not already in a small group or Bible study, please check out what's available for you. Or, consider joining a prayer group - my group is on Thursdays at noon in the sanctuary and is open to anyone.  If that time isn't good for you, consider signing up to pray at your convenience when fellow church members request prayer for family or friends. You only to send me your email address and you will receive a confidential list of prayer needs that you can pray for at home. We need you! There is definitely power in prayer. Our online prayer request team is something you can do silently that can have a huge impact, and can easily be done even if you're  physically unable to come into the church campus.

I pray everyone had a blessed and beautiful Easter sharing in worship and hopefully with friends and family. Don and I were so blessed to be part of each of the wonderful worship services and then also to spend precious time with family.  Our two sweet great grand babies are growing and delightful as is 2 year old big sister who entertained us during the Easter egg hunt. We are truly blessed in spite of the physical challenges I face. I try to follow His advice: "Pray. Always. About. Everything."  I think about these words all the time - it doesn't matter the situation, because running things past God is always a good move. Whether it's a big decision or something little - pray. If something is sketchy or unclear- pray. No matter the situation, a quick little "guide me Lord " always helps. "Pray. Always. About. Everything." These words pop into my mind at every type of situation. I encourage others to do the same.

I'm praying for you!
