Harmony Class,
New Study begins August 11
Are you weary? Perhaps you have wondered if hard seasons in life will ever end. God has a six-letter word of encouragement for you: E-S-T-H-E-R. The book that bears her name was written to be read in hard seasons. It was crafted for those who feel outnumbered by foes, outmaneuvered by fate, and outdone by fear. The message God wants us to know is, “Relief will come.” Join the Harmony Class in Lenox Hall beginning Sunday, August 11th at 9:15 to enjoy this new 5-week Bible Study. “You Were Made for This Moment” by Max Lucado, brings us Courage for Today and Hope for Tomorrow.

Interim Pastor Update
As many of you have already heard, Mike's "Sell By" date is November 30th. Negotiations with Debbie to extend that have been less than fruitful.
Pastor Casey's first Sunday at New Life Church will be January 5th, 2025.
Some of you have asked about who will preach or lead us in that "gap time?"
We are blessed to announce that Pastor Jorge Acevedo will be our guest preacher through the Sundays of Advent and at all Christmas Eve services.
Jorge has served faithfully and fruitfully in ministry for nearly 40 years, the last 27 of those as pastor at Grace Church in Cape Coral. And, he is a very good preacher!
Jorge retired from full-time ministry in 2023. He is speaking and coaching during this season of life and ministry.
Plan on being here to worship the incarnate Christ, to support your church as we move toward 2025, and to be blessed as Pastor Jorge leads us and feeds us in Advent and Christmas.

Building & Grounds Update
Did you know that our Building and Grounds Committee was formerly our Trustee Committee? This Committee handles all of the approvals for the upgrades, improvements and renovations that need done on our church campus. It truly takes a village to keep our church campus maintained and we are so thankful for the servants that we have on this Committee.
Do you have a servant heart?? Would you like to be part of this great Committee? We are currently looking for 4 people to add to the Building and Grounds Committee. The requirements for this role are to care about our church, care about the condition of our buildings and the safety of our congregation. The Committee meets once a month, normally the first Monday of every month at 3:00 p.m.
Some of the projects that are currently in the works are the renovation of rooms 8, 9 and 10 from some water damage. This project should be completed within the next week or so. Our new church playground should begin construction soon, we hope. We needed to make a few modifications to the plans due to some requirements from the City of Punta Gorda. The Bargain Boutique will begin an expansion project very shortly. This will give them much needed additional storage space and alleviate issues with flooding during rainy season.
If you would like to be a part of the Building and Grounds Committee, please reach out to Kathy Butgereit at kathy@newlifeforall.church before Tuesday, August 20th.

Cub Scout Pack 13
Jim Smith from our congregation has been our Pack 13 liaison for our amazing Cub Scout troop for the past few years. Jim has done an amazing job and we thank him for his service. Due to some personal reasons Jim has to step down from this role. We are looking for a servant to replace Jim as our Pack 13 liaison. Do you have former scouting experience that you would love to share with Cub Scouts? The pack has a fantastic leader and this liaison just attends meetings and events and lets the church know what is happening and all the fun things the troop is doing.
If you are interested, please reach out to Kathy Butgereit in the church office at kathy@newlifeforall.church.

A Word from Worship
Greetings New Life Church family and friends -
It's been one of those chaotic weeks, as anyone who has been on this journey understands. We both have appointments later today (Thursday) but as of now I have no updates. Please continue to pray for us and all who are battling health issues. We are so blessed by you all - your cards, encouraging notes, and calls and meals. I can't thank you enough for the meals. They have been a lifesaver for us. Your prayers give us such hope and courage and we feel them surrounding us. I will definitely update you next week in the Bridge, and meanwhile thank you for your patience.
I'm praying for you all!
Rosie Young
