Watch Out for Scams
Scammers have been impersonating church staff, sending emails that may ask for personal information. Always check the sender’s email address—legitimate emails from staff will end with @newlifeforall.church. If the message comes from any other address or number claiming to be from someone at our church, it’s a scam. When in doubt, verify the person you are communicating with before responding. Let’s stay vigilant and look out for one another!

Staff Love Offering
Peter Bell
Chair, Staffing Committee
Church Family and Friends:
As we approach Christmas, the Staffing Committee would like to offer you an opportunity to say thank you to our staff for all the work they have done and that they continue to do. Their faithful labor has been a huge blessing, both to our congregation and to the community at large. They have worked tirelessly so that we might worship, serve, bless and offer Christ to the people around us. There has been a great deal of ongoing work to do, from the impact of Hurricanes Helene and Milton in our community, our congregation, and our campus.
We know that 2024 has continued to be a hard year for many. So, please know that if you are
not able to give at this time, we understand.
At the same time, we want to bless and encourage our Church Staff.
We invite you to return your gift to the church by Monday, December 16th, in order to be able
to present them with your love gifts before Christmas. Please include in the memo line of your
check “Staff Love Offering.”
Thank you for your compassion and generosity. Our prayer is that 2025 will present us with
opportunities both to receive God’s greatest blessings and to provide the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a hurting world.

Blue Christmas, December 15
Merry Christmas! But perhaps not for everyone. The death of a loved one, estrangement from family, the loss of a job, or any number of difficult circumstances, can change the way we feel about the holidays.
Merry means to be cheerful, lively, jovial, jolly. For some it will not be a merry Christmas, but the birth of our Savior can be celebrated with a deep, God-given joy.
The Blue Christmas Service gives us permission to acknowledge our gratitude and inner joy, without feeling pressured to express our blessedness in traditional jubilation. It's not a solemn service, but neither is it whimsical. We reverently celebrate the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We hope that you will join us for the Blue Christmas Service on Sunday, December 15 at 4pm in the Sanctuary.

We want to welcome Pastor Casey with a supply of Gift Cards, rather than filling his pantry with perishables. If you would like to participate, please bring your gift cards to the office by December 30. You can place them in the Offering Box as well on Sunday mornings. Suggested locations are Publix, Starbucks, or WalMart. We will present our gifts to him on his first Sunday in January!

A Word from Worship
Greetings New Life Family and Friends,
I can hardly believe we've celebrated the first Sunday in Advent already. Time goes by so quickly, especially when you or a loved one is ill. It seems ironic when you seemingly should be resting, instead, you're going to numerous medical appointments, having tests that you've never heard of, and definitely don't have time for even a little nap. Life certainly can seem upside down. Since we've been on this cancer journey since May, I have made a conscious effort to pay attention to and try to appreciate every day. I've also discovered that it's not very easy always to do that. Life becomes so hectic and if you're not going out to appointments you're having home visits from nurses, social workers or chaplains. Of course, if you're blessed like we are, there are precious visits and time spent with family and friends.
This year I was asked to arrange the readers for the lighting of the Advent candles each week during this special season of Advent. And I was struck and humbled by the response of everyone I approached with that request. Each person responded by replying how honored they were to be asked to serve in this manner. It made me pause and realize that this is the true meaning of this season. How appropriate this was for week one of Advent- the week of hope. Psalm 119:114 "You are my refuge and my shield; Your word is my source of hope." As a purple candle was lit, it reminded me that hope is found throughout the Bible. Story after story tells how people hope in the future that God has planned. Sometimes our plans happen quickly, but often things happen one step at a time- one day at a time. That can be tough, but because we know the truth, and we believe the truth that our hope is found in Jesus. Our journey has been long and at times difficult, but through prayer and scripture, we've had hope, even when told things looked bleak. God has lifted us up in the dark moments and made us strong. When we had moments of weakness, He showed us how so many of you were praying for us. Our God is an awesome God!
Update: I will have my PET scan on Friday and then will see the radiation doctor the following week to discuss any further treatment. I know this sounds silly but Dr. Browne worked so hard to get me to gain weight so I'm happy to say I finally gained 2 lbs. Yay!
Don continues to do so well. His recent physical was great: blood work is good. He's on no treatment and has no symptoms other than some tiredness. He's been in church the past several Sundays and has come to work with me 2 or 3 days each week. We're going for walks outside daily. Life is good and each day is a gift. I am so grateful for so many things; the meals you so lovingly help us with. The gift cards help us out and the prayers are the best medicine! We pray for you daily. Mostly, thank you for loving us. God led us to this church family for a reason and we have been blessed. Don't ever give up hope because God loves each of you.
I'm praying for you!
