For March we are collecting: children's toothbrushes, combs, hairbrushes, and hair accessories. (new & unused only, please. No toothpaste!)

Harmony Class
The Harmony Class will begin a new 4-week Study Sunday, March 12th, “The Case for Easter by Lee Strobel.” Join Lee Strobel as he reveals what he discovered as he went piece-by-piece through the evidence of the empty tomb. He invites you to look beyond the familiar traditions of the season, challenge you to examine the evidence for yourself, and consider why Easter is so important to your faith. The class begins promptly at 9:15 am in Lenox Hall. No books or pre-registration is required. Lesson handouts will be provided. All are welcome to attend!
Special Delivery
Members of our Hospitality Team delivered cookies of appreciation to the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday, February 8. They appreciated the "sweet" gesture of support!

Greetings Everyone,

hymnal with a bookplate dedication ‘in honor’ or ‘memory of’ of someone for a suggested donation of $35.We will be giving away our old hymnals to anyone who would like one. These will be located in the Life Center lobby and the Historic Sanctuary anteroom. The church is planning to donate what is left over to another organization that can use them.

A Word from Worship
Greetings New Life Church family and friends --

I can hardly believe that we're already in the season of Lent.  We have many opportunities leading up to Easter Sunday to worship, with special services such as Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday and Good Friday.  Each week we have a noon service in the sanctuary. For me, it's a helpful way to contemplate the Life of Jesus during that period of his life leading up to his death and resurrection. I will admit, my medical situation has resulted in intense pain and other problems. During much of the intense times, draws me closer to scripture and numerous devotionals and books on prayer. I have wept thinking about those last weeks in Jesus' life, when he knew the pain and suffering he would have to go through. I can only imagine the magnitude of that,- and my problems seem small. At some time, each of us suffers or feels pain of some type, that leaves us feeling alone to the point of thinking we can't handle more. The gift we've been given is that we don't have to suffer alone.  We can give our pain to God. We can cry out to Him - He wants to give us peace. I have rested many times in the knowledge that I am never really alone. I can turn to God to give me moments of peace from my pain, or I can pray for others who might be struggling also.

Let's use this Lenten season to increase our prayer time at New Life Church. We have a beautiful prayer room available for your use. You can sign up online for an hour of quiet prayer time. Don't forget the services throughout Lent or the Thursday Prayer group in the sanctuary at noon.  The opportunities are there to receive many blessings.
Don't forget Feed the Harbor event on Sunday 2/26. Pick up a shopping list from a greeter following each service on Sunday.

The Volunteer/Hospitality meeting is at 10am on Tuesday 2/28 in the sanctuary. If you have a heart to help we'd love to talk with you!

I'm praying for you!

Rosie Young
Worship Coordinator
