Hey 1st Church family--
Wow - what a week it has been. It's been very busy and filled with beautiful blessings. As you probably know, I was asked to share my testimony at Today Matters this past Saturday, February 19th. Was I nervous? Some! But not so much because I was afraid of sitting (yes, I had to sit!) up on stage and speaking, but anxious that I wouldn't say what God wanted me to share... anxious because family members who don't go to church were there and I prayed that somehow hearts would be touched... and anxious since I'm not a public speaker! I know that a lot of prayer went into this effort, not only by me, but so many of you. I thank you all so much for your support, and encouragement. The love you all shared with me was over whelming, and my heart is filled with gratitude. Thank you for the sweet notes and messages I've received. We went through all supply of my books that I had. More have been ordered. They are a collection of my Bridge articles from the past year. If you would like one, please let me know and I will get it to you when they arrive, probably in about a week.
One thing that we talked about was our newest prayer group, called RPM, or Rosie's Prayer Moments. We traditionally meet in the sanctuary every Thursday, at noon for an hour of sharing, prayer requests and quiet prayer time. The hour goes by quickly and is very moving and powerful. Everyone can have the same experience of hope that has become the power and peace of my faith through this prayer journey. I am not special - we all can turn our trials into triumphs. Please notice our wall of prayer requests cards when you are in the sanctuary. These are prayer needs that you, the congregation, have shared with us that are lifted in prayer regularly. Please join us and be a part of this wonderful ministry.
Don't forget to watch for notices in the Bridge or online regarding upcoming events. Ash Wednesday service, marking the beginning of our Lenten season, is Wednesday, 3/2/22 at 7pm in the sanctuary.
Let's keep on praying! I am grateful and I'm praying for you!

Join us this Sunday at 8 am for Praise in the Park! Open to everyone, this is your opportunity to join us for "in-person" worship as we enjoy God's scenery from the lawn of the beautiful Gilchrist Park Pavilion, weather permitting of course. If it is or has been raining (or is too cold), Praise in the Park will relocate to our historic Sanctuary. Time may not always be sufficient to get the word out, so in case of inclement weather, please proceed to the Sanctuary.
Please plan to bring your lawn chairs and/or blankets, and, yes, we will be asking you to practice social distancing. Don't forget to join our "Praise in the Park" group on our Church App! As a reminder, our outside services are always subject to change due to the weather. Please make sure you are connected with us through the app, our email list, or social media to receive our updates concerning schedule changes. See you Sunday for Praise in the Park!
Praise in the Park is currently scheduled to continue meeting at Gilchrist Park through Easter 2022.
