Scripture Texts Ending

Due to some software issues, we are discontinuing our daily scripture texts. If you currently receive our daily scripture texts, January 31 will be the last text sent until a software solution can be found. Thank you for your understanding!

Watch Out for Scams

Scammers have been impersonating church staff, sending emails that may ask for personal information. Always check the sender’s email address—legitimate emails from staff will end with @newlifeforall.church. If the message comes from any other address or number claiming to be from someone at our church, it’s a scam. When in doubt, verify the person you are communicating with before responding.

Library Transition

As we move forward with rebuilding after the hurricanes, we are trying to utilize the space we have available on our campus in the most flexible and thoughtful way. In light of that, we are planning to transition the current library into a meeting room / office space. We are in the process of sorting our books and creating a "mobile" library. Historical items will eventually find an appropriate home on campus. Stay tuned for updates as our library transition moves forward.

Lent Life Groups

The gospel grows in us best when it grows in us together.

That’s why we all need Christian community! It’s also why we’re offering Life Groups this spring in sync with our Lent sermon series, The Way to the Cross.

Sign-ups for these six week groups will start soon, but we’re now recruiting Group Leaders and Group Hosts. Existing groups and classes can be part of the effort but we also want to create NEW short-term groups! Groups will begin meeting the week of March 9, 2025.

Read more about our Lent Life Groups here.

Four Chaplains Day

Pastor Bob Carlson

In our culture, we see the practice of respect and honor diminishing. But as Christians, we should devote ourselves to and promote these biblical principles. As Paul wrote, “Give to everyone what you owe them... if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.” Romans 13:7 NIV

On Mother’s Day and Father’s Day we honor our parents. There are historical persons we honor on their birthdays. Still others are honored on the anniversary of their significant action. Such is the case of four U.S. Army chaplains who sacrificed their lives to save hundreds of soldiers and sailors on a sinking ship in WWII. Please remember and honor these four heroes on February 3rd, which is Four Chaplains Day.

"Honor Those Who Deserve Honor"

Pastor Bob Carlson

Cancer Support Group, February 5

The Cancer Support Group will be holding our regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, February 5th at 6:30 in Room 9. Christopher Parent, Community Partnership Specialist, from Empath Health - Tidewell Hospice will be our guest speaker. Christopher will be showing us how to record cherished moments and stories, convey special thoughts and messages to loved ones and share our life story. Everyone is invited to join us for this informative program.

The Cancer Support Group is open to all patients, survivors, and care givers. We are open to the community, if you have friends on a Cancer Journey, please invite them to come. Our goal is to bring “Hope for Your Journey: Coping with Cancer Through Faith.”

Men's Breakfast

Please Join us for our next men's breakfast, Saturday February 8th at 8AM in Lenox Hall for fellowship and a presentation by Randy Smith (change from last week), Vice President of EPIC Community Resource Center. Randy was a Marine Corporal in Vietnam, became a drug dealer, and finally overcame his struggles after his son was born. Come hear how God led Randy to help bring together numerous resources to provide assistance, care and encouragement to those in need. All men are welcome.

A Continental Breakfast will be provided.

There is no charge for this event, but please make reservations by noon Friday, February 7th by emailing Wayne Sharp:sharpww@me.com.

Harmony Class

The Harmony Bible Study Class will begin a new six-week study Sunday, February 9, 2025 at 9:15 am in Lenox Hall. “Goliath Must Fall: Winning The Battle Against Your Giants” by Louie Giglio, explores the giants in your life holding you captive. In this series, Louie examines the David and Goliath story to show you how to conquer them once and for all by focusing on the size of our God, not the height of your giants. As they go down, you gain freedom to walk in the victory Christ has already won over the enemies that rob you of God’s best for your life. All are welcome to attend!

Join the Tech Team!

Are you looking for a place to serve in 2025? We are looking for volunteers to run ProPresenter on Sunday Mornings in the Tech Booth (slides, worship lyrics, scripture etc. on the screens). If you are interested in learning more, please contact Kathy in the church office, kathy@newlifeforall.church.
