Cuba Mission Returns
The team of Shirley Stewart, Becky Van Pelt, and John Bielecki successfully completed their mission trip to Cuba. In addition to visiting our sister churches in Guaro and Taguasco, they visited ten other churches driving over 400 miles. While there they gave away nearly $11,000 to those churches for water systems, toilet plumbing, fans, seat benches, and batteries among other items. They funded building repairs and the construction of concrete walls, kitchens, steps, and stages. They carried three large suitcases packed with medicines and children's Sunday School supplies. More information will be supplied at Mission Moment.

Charlotte Behavioral Volunteers Needed
Charlotte Behavioral Health Care has asked if we could coordinate some volunteers to come in on Wednesdays from 2-3 and pray with people who are interested or to just talk about the Bible if they have questions. If you are interested in more information, please email: admin@newlifeforall.church and include your name, phone, email, and weeks available. This is open to two people a week -- women are especially needed to address the requests from the female patients.

Approximately 75% of the shoes are delivered to the Elementary Schools. You can drop off your donations of new shoes to the collection box located in Lenox Hall. Youth Mission Trip
Tim Buck
Many of you may have seen heartbreaking images on TV this past week of the recent wildfire devastation throughout New Mexico. One of these ongoing fires (The Salt Fire) is still burning parts of the Mescalero Apache Reservation where our team will serve. There are several critical needs that we have been asked to meet. To help meet this immediate need, with your help, we will purchase and distribute the following items when we arrive at the reservation.
- Dental hygiene items (floss, toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc.)
- Toiletries (soaps, deodorants, combs, etc.)
- Diapers, wipes, baby formula, etc.
- Feminine hygiene products
- Socks and underwear of all ages/sizes
- Non-perishable individually packaged food items like granola bars, beef jerky, trail mix, crackers, Gatorade, etc.
Will you consider making an additional donation to help us make this possible? If so, please write "Youth Mission Trip" on the memo line of your donation.
Thank you to all who have already contributed!

A Word from Worship
Greetings New Life Church family and friends,
Happy Holiday week! When you read this I hope you and your loved ones are continuing to celebrate not only the 4th of July but a long weekend reaching out to loved ones. Don and I are expecting fun time with our family - including our three greatest grand babies. Family has always been important to me, and while I miss my extended family back home in the Midwest, we are truly blessed to have our adult children, grandchildren and their growing families right here close by. In spite of their busy lives, they have been here with and for us since Don got sick. God has shown us repeatedly that we are also blessed with our loving church family. I can't mention often enough how your meals, offers of rides and other help, cards and messages of hope have lifted me up at moments of despair and worry. And prayers!! Every week we hear from someone who tells us that they are praying and they have asked others to pray for us. And, I am filled with hope to tell you that all those prayers are working! Those of you who are on my prayer team have already heard this news but I want to share with all of you. I have been apprehensive since Don had finished all of the testing needed and then the fall happened with more scans etc. Since the day he was admitted to ER and we got the news of cancer, I was devastated, needless to say, primarily due to the way it was delivered to us by a beautiful young nurse. She came in the room and said "I looked at your scans and it's the worst thing I've ever seen. There are tumors on several organs which are 90% cancer and I doubt they'll do anything for them." That stuck in my heart the past few weeks so my prayer has been "please Lord, give me one piece of hopeful news when we meet with the doctor." Dr. Browne walked in the room and said "we have a plan" and I immediately felt God's presence in the room with us. Tests showed a primary lesion on Don's colon and one tumor in his liver - a much more hopeful result. The blessings continued as she described the chemo plan for Don. She explained that research has shown that people of Don's age have the same results by receiving doses in half the amount as with full dosage. This helps eliminate side effects. He will receive cycles of 14 days of oral pills and then every 3 weeks will have one IV treatment. We all agreed that this is a very doable plan and we have been praying thanks and praises since. We will ask for continued prayers for the treatment medications to be effective and with little or no complications. We continue to be blessed. Don is praying to feel better soon so he can return to serving the Lord and resuming his life prior to diagnosis.
I will continue to share updates with you. We have been in worship the past couple weeks and have been blessed to see some of you. I hope to be on campus more often as things get more settled. Please continue to send me any prayer requests and I will send them to to the prayer warriors. Please pray for any who are suffering. Many people are in need of prayer. I'd like to share scripture that I turn to at times that feel overwhelming to me. "Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying." Romans 12:12
I'm praying for you!
