Will you pray for one of our youth as they serve as missionaries this summer?
Since you said “Yes!” you can select the name of a teen missionary to pray for specifically. Students have printed their names on key chain tags which are available for you to take home this beginning Sunday. These colorful tags have the name of one student or adult volunteer who is part of our youth summer missions team. So, the next time you are at church, you can grab a key tag and add it to your set of keys. Then each time you see the key tag remember to say a prayer for the individual who will be serving in Austin Texas this June 15th to 23rd.

Key Tags are available in the Life Center Foyer, the Historic Sanctuary, and the mission table in Lenox Hall.

"The earnest prayer of a righteous person has power and produces wonderful results." James 5:16 NLT

NEW Sunday Morning Study Opportunity - May 21
This Sunday, May 21st The Harmony Class will begin a new, six-part Andy Stanley study, “Go Fish.” Fishing stories! We’ve all heard them. “It was THIS big.” “You should have seen the one that got away!” People love to tell stories of their fishing adventures. When it comes to faith, however, most people clam up. Even if you DON’T like fishing for FISH, this class is for YOU!. Why is it we can’t talk about what God has done in our lives as naturally as we can spin fishing tales?  Andy Stanley explores the motivation behind sharing your faith and how it can become a natural part of your life. Learn how to be “Fishers of PEOPLE” and join us at 9:15 am in Lenox Hall. All are welcome to attend!
Young Life Help Available
Cody Workman, our staffer at Charlotte High School and Punta Gorda Middle School, is having great success in getting teens to sign up for the week long summer camp. Most kids attending Young Life camp have come to know Jesus and camp shows them how to make a lifetime commitment. The problem is "camp costs money" and some come from families who can not afford camp. These girls and boys are willing to work to earn money for camp. They are willing to work at your home helping with chores such as weeding, shrubbery trimming, cleaning garage, cleaning floors, moving furniture, washing windows, cleaning shelves, ect. When you think of a chore that a teen girl or boy can help with to earn a little camp money call Cody at 815-303-8815.
Hospital Visitation, Prayer Available
We want to know when you are having surgery or are in the hospital! We are available to pray with you before surgery and visit you in the hospital, rehab, etc.

Contact us through email: prayerteam@newlifeforall.church.
Join us for Movie Night! May 30
About the movie: In the 1970s, young Greg Laurie (Joel Courtney) is searching for all the right things in all the wrong places: until he meets Lonnie Frisbee (Jonathan Roumie), a charismatic hippie-street-preacher. Together with Pastor Chuck Smith (Kelsey Grammer), they open the doors of Smith’s languishing church to an unexpected revival of radical and newfound love, leading to what TIME Magazine dubbed a JESUS REVOLUTION.

Watch the movie trailer HERE:
For families with younger children:
Due to the PG-13 rating of "Jesus Revolution," New Life Kid Zone will be showing a movie for younger children upstairs in Lenox Hall during Movie Night.

Invite cards are available in Lenox Hall so you can invite a friend or neighbor. Concessions will be available by donation, with proceeds supporting Crossroads Hope Academy. Join us!

Youth Mission Trip June 15-23 - Austin, Texas
Have you heard? Our Teens are planning a mission trip to Texas this June! Preparations are almost complete for this 9-day trip. Students and their adult chaperones have been meeting together as a group for training sessions and doing "homework" to prepare for the trip.

If you want to help our mission team in a specific and meaningful way, we have a unique opportunity you may want to invest in. While on our mission trip, we will be sleeping on air mattresses in a church about 10 miles north of the Texas Capital City of Austin where they will be working. While there, the team will purchase mattresses, pillows, and some blankets to use during their stay at the church. Then at the end of the mission trip, the teens plan to continue their long-standing tradition of donating these air mattresses, pillows, and blankets to a local shelter. If you would like to help pay for a pillow, a blanket, or a mattress that will be donated to a shelter in the Austin area, then check out the following list.

We suggest the following donation amounts:
  • $10 for a pillow or blanket.
  • $25 donation will buy a basic 6-inch twin-sized mattress.
  • $65 donation will purchase a raised twin mattress that comes with its own internal electric plug making it so much easier for the homeless shelter to keep them inflated.

Please prayerfully consider helping in this tangible way by making a donation towards the purchase of one or more of these items for our Teen Summer Missions Team. Donations can be made by writing “Youth Mission Trip” in the memo of your check and placing in the offering plate or dropping it at the church office by June 4th.

Thanks again for investing in our teens and helping them fulfill the great commission. Matthew 28:19 & 20

A Word from Worship
Greetings New Life Church family --

I pray all our ladies had a lovely day this past Sunday.  The day is typically called Mother's Day but I believe all women should be remembered and honored, for their times of nurturing in their family or friends as an Aunt, cousin, or any loving and nurturing figure. So ladies, take a bow for all the times you nurtured or mentored a young person's life. I hope you received a bookmark of one of the strong women of the Bible that were given out. I'd like to share the beautiful gift from God that our family received on this special day when we received news that two of our beautiful granddaughters and their husbands are expecting babies within 2 weeks of each other. God is great, and I am blessed to have recovered once again from a lengthy illness this year.

We still have time to sign up for our prayer vigil happening these next 10 days.  The sign-up book will again be available in Lenox Hall on Sunday and you can call Gail in the office during the week and she will help you find an open spot. If you are unable to come to the Prayer room please feel free to call and sign up and pray wherever you are. I know how busy life can get. We put all we have into people, jobs, or maybe hobbies that we love. They motivate us and give us energy. As I was thinking about that, I was led to Ps 31:23
"Listen to me all you godly ones; The Lord protects and preserves all those who are loyal to him. But he pays back in full all those who reject him in their pride." Once I learned to balance my life and give equal time for praise, and energy toward my relationship with God, things began to become so much easier, especially during the difficult times. When you're in the prayer room, I encourage you to read the notes that people write and post on the Wailing Wall, or read through the journal where they share experiences, and be motivated and inspired like I and others have been to love, praise, and serve the Lord.

I'm praying for you!

Worship Coordinator
