Youth Mission Trip, June 15-21

Have you heard? Our Teens will be serving on another mission trip, this time to Imperial, Pennsylvania. Preparations are nearing completion for this 7-day trip. Students and their adult chaperones have been meeting together for training sessions and doing "homework" to prepare for the worktrip.

If you want to help our mission team in a specific and meaningful way, we have three opportunities you may want to invest in.

First, take a one key tag and pray for a specific student or chaperone. Pray for them often, for courage, safety and stamina to complete the work they will be assigned upon arrival. (We will be building entire wheelchair ramps, fixing steps and railings, replacing broken windows, and lots of sanding and painting).

Second, while on our mission trip, we will be sleeping on air mattresses in classrooms in an elementary School in a town close to our worksites. While there, our team will purchase mattresses, pillows, and blankets to use during their stay. Then at the end of the mission trip, the teens plan to continue their long-standing tradition of donating these items along with many other ministry supplies along with and tools to a local shelter or non-profit partner.

Finally we need to purchase Tools and Supplies. Lots of Supplies!

Check out the following list of items needed with the corresponding cost to see if you might be able to help.

We suggest the following donation amounts:

$2 Paint Tray Liners (15 needed)
$6 Paint Trays (5 needed)
$8 Safety Goggles (3 need)
$9 for a pillow (10 needed)
$12 for a blanket (10 needed)
$28 5-Gallon Water Cooler (2 Needed)
$46 N-95 Dust Masks (one box off 50 needed)
$57 Colman Lunch Cooler with wheels (2 needed)
$69 donation will purchase a raised twin mattress that comes with its own internal electric plug making it so much easier for a shelter to keep them inflated. (10 needed)
$83 Cordless Drill with battery, charger, and supplies (2 needed)
Other - Ministry supplies as needed, like shovels, extension cords, a compound miter saw, jigsaw etc. (approx. $600)

Please prayerfully consider helping our mission team in this tangible way by making a donation towards the purchase of one or more of these items (please do not purchase any of these items as we cannot transport these items) We will purchase these supplies upon arrival in Pennsylvania. Donations can be made by writing “youth mission trip” in the memo of your check and placing it in an offering box, by mail or bringing it to the church office by June 8th.

this month is Ms. Heather Cross, CEO of “The Center for Progress and Excellence Inc. CPE is a mental health and social services agency located in Southwest Florida.

CPE is a mobile crisis response team to serve five counties including Charlotte County and services are at “No cost!” CPE operates 24/7 365 days a year and they do everything possible to be an alternative to Baker Acting someone into a crisis unit. Ms. Cross leads a team of over 50 employees and will share her passion to help others and the story behind the passion! New Life Church and Today Matters Mental Health are the “1 st ” to create a partnership in all five counties! Please come and support this great cause and need in our community, Saturday May 17th at 4pm.

Operation Christmas Child

The Operation Christmas Child Team of New Life Church asks for monetary donations during the months of April and May to help defray the costs involved in this mission field. We have never asked the Finance Committee for any funding to support this program since it began in 2002 thanks to your generous donations. God is Good and so are YOU! We must pay for a driver and moving truck to take all the shoeboxes to Fort Myers at the end of Collection Week in November, which costs around $600. The packing party shoeboxes recommended donation of $10 each to defray shipping costs adds and additional $1,000 for the 100 we pack that evening, so you can clearly understand we need your help. Please make your check out to New Life Church and write “Operation Christmas Child” (or “OCC”) on the memo line of your check and simply drop it into the Offering Boxes in the Life Center or Sanctuary. Thank you so much for your help with our 2025 OCC ministry program to bring the Good News to children around the world.
