Girl Scout Silver Award

Ava Walsh, 7th grade SSPP Girl Scout Cadette, is earning the Girl Scout Silver Award – the highest award a Girl Scout Cadette can earn. The award represents a girl’s accomplishments in Girl Scouting and her community as she grows and works to improve her life and the lives of others. Ava’s project focuses on teaching Healthy Eating habits to three of SSPP’s Daisy and Brownie Girl Scout Troops. Ava is using the US Department of Agriculture’s MyPlate visual to teach the five food groups and how to eat healthy with fun and engaging lessons. Her 7th grade classmates and fellow Cadettes who are helping her are pictured with her here: Ava Walsh, Lucia Gionfriddo, Anna Zapata, Addison Lofgren and Kaitlin Selgrade.
