Spring 2025 Commencement



The University proudly celebrated the achievements of more than 700 graduates at the Spring 2025 Commencement ceremony. Faculty, staff, families, and friends gathered at Freeman Coliseum to honor the dedication and success of our graduates as they crossed the stage and stepped into the next chapter of their journey. Congratulations to the Class of 2025!

Summer Dining at A&M-SA


Are you looking for a place to eat on campus this summer? We have you covered. Join A&M-SA Dining Services at our on-campus locations (Dining Hall, Jaguar Java, and the C-Store) for a great meal, cup of coffee, or tasty snack.


Employee Meal Plans are available through August 15. Visit the Dining Services website for more information and summer hours.

2022-2027 Bond Program: Pre-Construction and Design Public Meeting


Join Public Works, Districts 3 and 4, to review the design and pre-construction for the A&M-San Antonio Streets Project phase I and II.


The Bond Project will construct roadway improvements to include sidewalks, driveway approaches, drainage, and other improvements as applicable and within available funding. This project includes phased improvements to Perimenter Loop Road and a connector road to Mauermann Road.

Kimberly Rottet Named Inaugural Associate Vice President for Student Affairs Campus Services


Dr. Kimberly Rottet has been named the inaugural associate vice president for Student Affairs Campus Services at A&M-San Antonio, beginning June 30. With over two decades of experience in student affairs and auxiliary services, she will oversee dining, housing, the bookstore, and recreational sports—key areas as the University expands student life infrastructure.

Commencement Spotlight: Nate González is on a Mission to Transform Health Care


Nate González made history as the first graduate of A&M-San Antonio’s Community Health Program, which addresses regional health disparities. Now that he's graduated, González plans to pursue dual master’s degrees in public health and business to continue his mission of transforming health care access in underserved communities.

Commencement Spotlight: Candice Allen's Resilient Journey to Graduation


After surviving end-stage renal failure and undergoing six years of dialysis, Candice Allen earned her bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in legal studies. She now has her sights set on attending law school and specializing in corporate law.

Commencement Spotlight: Jerrome Hamilton's Journey of Leadership and Legacy


Jerrome Hamilton, a first-generation student and military-connected senior, graduated with a degree in international business management and a legacy of leadership. From building up the ROTC presence on campus to serving as president of his fraternity, Hamilton’s time at A&M-San Antonio has been marked by transformation and service. He’s now set to pursue his dream of becoming a medevac pilot for the U.S. Army.

Graduate Student Turns Passion for Water Conservation into Full-Time Career


Angelica Canizalez, a graduate student in the Water Resources Science and Technology program, has parlayed her internship at the San Antonio River Authority into a full-time job as a water quality scientist. Canizalez, who graduates in December, now helps safeguard the region’s waterways and maintain the region's natural beauty.

This year’s Employee Development Day will take place on Wednesday, June 11, with a special theme: "Jag-Stock".  This day serves as a platform for employees to engage in various activities aimed at enhancing their skills, knowledge and capabilities relevant to their roles and career aspirations. There will be three breakout sessions in which attendees can receive professional development in an array of topics.
