Parking Lot Update


From March 10 -14, contractors will be working on Lot 4 to install new light poles. A portion of the lot will be available to accommodate permit/pass holders and visitors to BLH, CAB, and Patriots' Casa. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through this process to ensure the safety of our entire campus community.

No Hesitation, Just Registration


Priority registration for Fall 2025 will happen from March 24 through March 28. We ask faculty and staff to encourage student registration during this critical time. Based on their classification, students will have a specific date and time throughout the week when their registration period will begin. Please encourage students to view the full schedule and be prepared to register.

Educare Groundbreaking to be Rescheduled


The Educare San Antonio groundbreaking originally planned for Feb. 27, 2025, is being rescheduled and a new date shared when available. We appreciate your understanding and hope to see you at the event once the new date is announced.

AI Explore Days


During the spring semester, students, faculty and staff are invited to stop by for AI Explore Days. These events, held on the following Wednesdays from 12-1 p.m. in the University Library (BLH) Room 202, will be a chance to learn about new generative AI tools and how to use them effectively.

Hands-on Training on AI and HPC


The High Performance Computing Research Center will conduct a day of Hands-on Training on campus, April 30. If you are interested in high-performance computing in linguistics or quantitative finance and chemistry submit the following form to collect your preferences for training topics. Dr. Jesus Montaño, assistant professor of English at Baylor University, will discuss his new book, "Young Latinx Shakespeares," and how young adult authors engage with Shakespeare to open new cultural terrains.

Juan Guardia Elected as Region III Director for NASPA, Championing Student Affairs in Higher Education


Dr. Juan Guardia, vice president for student affairs, has been elected Region III Director for the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators, where he will help shape the future of student affairs across 11 states. Beginning his term next month as regional director-elect, Guardia aims to foster collaboration, professional development, and innovation in student affairs nationwide.

Esports Showdown of System Campuses from Across the Lone Star State


A&M-San Antonio Esports hosted the largest in-person esports matchup in Texas A&M University System history at the Boeing Center at Tech Port on Feb. 22. The competition Featured teams from multiple A&M campuses.

University Celebrates Inaugural Spring Homecoming 


The University has wrapped up its first-ever Homecoming, bringing the Jaguar community together for a week of fun and tradition from Feb. 16-22. With the theme "Deep in the Heart of Texas," the celebration featured everything from a chili cook-off to the crowning of Jaguar Royalty, helping establish a beloved new tradition.

Inaugural Class Alum Donates to Fuel Basketball Program’s Success


Ryan Bergmann, ’09, remembers A&M-San Antonio before it had a basketball team. Now, he’s one of the first donors helping support the program grow. Honored during Homecoming 2025, Bergmann’s support for Jaguar Athletics is his way of giving back to student-athletes.

University’s Women’s Basketball Team Has History-Making Run


A&M-San Antonio’s women’s basketball team secured a spot in the Red River Athletic Conference Tournament in its historic inaugural season. As the No. 4 seed, they faced off against No. 5-seed Huston-Tillotson on Feb. 28, marking a milestone moment for the program. The Jaguars beat Huston-Tillotson, making it to the semi-finals where they fell to LSU Shreveport.
