Weeks of Welcome Volunteer Opportunities Coming Soon!


Volunteer opportunities will be available in one-hour shifts at two booth locations to assist students with any questions on Monday, Aug. 25, and Tuesday, Aug. 26.

The Cisneros Institute will provide you with the tools and information to help answer students' questions. Please consider volunteering to help make Weeks of Welcome a positive and engaging experience for all returning Jaguars!


Volunteers will receive a free t-shirt.

Institutional Review Board Submission Transition to CAYUSE


Starting Aug. 1, 2025, all new IRB submissions must be made through the CAYUSE systemEmailed submissions for new protocols will no longer be accepted.


There will be a pause on emailed submissions from July 15 to July 31. During this time, no new protocols will be accepted via email.


Students can contact their mentors for assistance and guidance during the transition. If you have any grant-related submission needs, please contact Dr. Rani Muthukrishnan as soon as possible.

Global Ambassadors Program: Connect with International Students


The new Global Ambassadors Program is focused on supporting and connecting international students through peer mentorship and cultural exchange. The goal is to help international students feel welcomed, while also giving ambassadors the opportunity to grow as leaders and engage in cross-cultural learning.

University Celebrates Educare San Antonio Milestone


The University celebrated an Educare San Antonio milestone with a beam-signing ceremony. The early childhood education center will serve over 200 local children and their families. Scheduled to open in fall 2026, Educare will serve a vital need in South San Antonio and Bexar County, which have a severe deficit of accessible, high-quality early education options
