"The Seven Last Words of Jesus"
Good Friday Metaphysical Service
Friday, April 15th

* Premieres at 8:50 pm Tonight *

On behalf of the Board of Trustees and SLC Staff, we apologize for any inconvenience that the last minute cancellation of our scheduled 7 p.m. Good Friday hybrid service may have caused. Since we do have access to a pre-recording of our metaphysical Good Friday Service, we felt that premiering the recording of the Special Good Friday Service was the most conservative approach to allow for the recommended quarantine time for anyone who is exposed to a COVID positive individual.

At this time we are extremely grateful that it appears this will be an isolated COVID positive case affecting just one member of our SLC team who was exposed last Sunday night to someone outside of our SLC community who later tested positive. Our team member who is positive has been released from all further SLC commitments until they can fully recover and test negative before returning to the Center.

We want to acknowledge and thank our SLC staff and volunteers for their swift action to assist with notifying as many individuals as possible who were present at our Wednesday, April 13th Communion Service as a courtesy even if they were not in direct contact with our team member.

Though we are not able to be live or in-person for this special Good Friday metaphysical service, we are pleased to be able to share it virtually with you this evening. This contemplative service offers deep metaphysical insight into the crucifixion account as one of healing and release.

Entering into spiritual transformation, as experienced by Jesus, means we each first face our own Calvary and cross. Liberated from resistance to what many Christian denominations teach, we become receptive to the significance of the crucifixion story as inspirational, constructive, and uplifting. With this expanded view, we open to the true meaning of the risen Christ at Eastertime.

Enjoy this pre-recorded special service with Rev. James Trapp, Rev. Deborah Phillips and music by Lahre Shiflet that premieres at 8:50 pm this evening.
