Dr. Meredith Duncan has agreed to serve as our new interim Director of Graduate Studies for the PhD Program in Epidemiology and Biostatistics program. Dr. Duncan is well-suited for this role as she has formal training in both epidemiology and biostatistics PhD programs.

EPI/BIO Lecture Series:
Dr. Duncan is also the first speaker in the EPI-BIO bi-weekly lecture series starting on August 25th. All CPH students, faculty, and staff are invited.

Retirement Celebration honoring Dr. GT Lineberry
University of Kentucky Provost, Dr. Robert DiPaola, cordially invites you to the retirement celebration honoring Dr. GT Lineberry, Associate Provost for Faculty Advancement, on August 31st at the Gatton Student Center Harris Ballroom.
Feitong Lei, a doctoral student in Epidemiology and Biostatistics, received a travel award from the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology to present at their annual conference in Copenhagen, Aug 24-28, on the patterns of buprenorphine treatment for opioid use disorder and opioid-related overdose deaths.
On Aug. 23, the virtual 2022 Kentucky Falls and Osteoporosis Summit will feature talks on a variety of topics meant to enhance the understanding of ways to support older adults in aging gracefully. The Summit will be held online from 10 a.m. till 3:30 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time and is free to join.
