On February 11th, CPH professors, Dr. Dave Fardo (BST) and Dr. Erin Abner (EPI), are presenting at a National Institute of Aging virtual workshop on Limbic-predominant Age-related TDP-43 Encephalopathy (LATE). LATE is a brain disorder that is related to the slow progression of memory loss in aging, common in older persons, and has a large public health impact.

Tara Hood has already made significant personal and professional accomplishments since graduating from the CPH in 2016. However, when growing up, the alumna of the Bachelor of Public Health (BPH) program, wanted to serve people but was not sure which "path" to take.

The 18th Annual TCOM Conference, September 21 – 23, 2022 in New Orleans, LA, is centered on Transformational Collaborative Outcomes Management, which is a framework for managing systems whose mission is to help people change their lives is some important way. This was developed by our own IPH Center Director, Dr. John Lyons.
Attendees of the annual conference are professionals from various fields such as child welfare, mental health, behavioral health, social work, juvenile justice, education, and other complex systems of care. The Call for Proposals will remain open until February 28, 2022 and can be submitted here.

Kentucky Injury Prevention and Research Center

To make substance use data more easily accessible to individuals, local communities, and state agencies, the Kentucky Injury Prevention and Research Center (KIPRC) has redesigned its Drug Overdose and Related Comorbidity County Profiles dashboard, which consolidates substance use-related emergency department, inpatient hospitalization, and death data for every Kentucky county and the state.
