CPH is excited to celebrate National Public Health Week, April 4-8, a week focused on shedding light on public health issues and celebrating the impact public health has on the world.
 
This year's theme is "Public Health is Where You Are." Join us throughout the week at both virtual and in-person events as we explore the role of strong communities on mental and physical health.

We are seeking nominations for the CPH Student Awards, which is open to all undergraduate and graduate students across several categories. Winners will be recognized at the awards ceremony on Tuesday, April 5th which is part of National Public Health Week, along with a monetary stipend and plaque. Deadline to nominate is March 25th, 2022.

CPH welcomes Dr. Tukea Talbert, Chief Diversity Officer at UK HealthCare, to the next Executive Seminar Series, an exclusive event for MHA students, HMP departmental faculty, SEAS, and invited guests.

These events provides exclusive opportunities to interact with national healthcare leaders in a small group setting. This event is April 1st at 9am.

The 2022 American Public Health Association (APHA) Awards is accepting nominations. These awards recognizes distinguished individuals for their service to public health and commitment to promote and protect the health and safety of all people. Awards will be presented at the 2022 APHA Annual Meeting and Expo, Nov. 6-9, in Boston. Nomination deadline is April 25th, 2022.


Kentucky Injury Prevention and Research Center
Thanks to a partnership between near-real-time substance use disorder treatment locator FindHelpNowKY.org and the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services program at the Kentucky Division for Behavioral Health, Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities (DBHDID), the website now offers information in American Sign Language (ASL) and has resources specifically created for the diverse linguistic community.
