The University of Kentucky's spring 2022 Commencement Ceremonies will be held on May 6th and 7th at the Central Bank Center at Rupp Arena. The UK College of Public Health will be celebrated on Friday, May 6th. Let's all support our students and help them celebrate this big day!

CPH celebrates successes at the 2022 Summer Assembly
During the recent Summer Assembly, the CPH community came together to reflect back (and celebrate) its successes under Dean Arnett's leadership in areas of philanthropy, giving, academic and student success, research impact, and more. In addition, the visionary framework for the new Health Education Building and the new 2022-2027 Strategic Plan was introduced.
CPH students showcase their faculty-mentored research at Undergraduate Scholars event
CPH students did an awesome job showcasing their research at the 2022 Showcase of Undergraduate Scholars event, which provides UK undergraduates the opportunity to professionally present their faculty-mentored research to the community and general public!
UK honored a group of students with the "Still We Rise" scholarship which recognizes undergraduate and graduate students who have persisted through obstacles and overcome adversity. This included three CPH students: Caroline Coffey (BPH), Karina Martinez (BPH), and Cam Asher (MHA).

IPH Center group volunteers at God's Pantry Food Bank
The Center for Innovation in Population Health’s Workforce Development remote team volunteered last week at God’s Pantry Food Bank while they visited Lexington. The group sorted over 5,000 lbs of food and household products that will be distributed to local food pantries to support the needs of members within the community.
The Research Scholars Program (RSP), aimed at ensuring diversity and inclusion in research by promoting faculty success, welcomed its second cohort of six faculty from four University of Kentucky colleges. Among them was our own Dr. Reuben Adatorwovor (BST).

In 2020, the Kentucky Fatality Assessment Control Evaluation (FACE) program recorded the highest number of workplace drug overdose fatalities since FACE’s inception in 1994. The alarming trend continued into 2021, with eight drug overdose deaths occurring at work from January to June.
