Dr. Donna Arnett will be honored with the Joseph Stokes III, MD Award, presenting “Personalization of Individual Prevention Strategies for Hypertension - Applying ‘-omics’” at the upcoming ASPC 2022 Congress on CVD Prevention, scheduled July 29-31, 2022 in Louisville, Kentucky, by the American Society for Preventive Cardiology (ASPC).
The Kentucky Injury Prevention and Research Center’s (KIPRC’s) 2021 Annual Report showcases collaborative research, surveillance, interventions, and community practice plus KIPRC-produced research studies on multiple injury topics, including 16 peer-reviewed and 16 non-peer-reviewed publications as well as 22 research and surveillance presentations.
The Kentucky Safety and Prevention Alignment Network (KSPAN), based at the Kentucky Injury Prevention and Research Center (KIPRC), is a network of public and private organizations, and individuals, dedicated to promoting safety and preventing injuries throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Their next meeting on July 26th is FREE and open to all, including students, and is a good opportunity to meet leaders of different health organizations, community groups, and more.

Under the theme, "Ending Epidemics," the 2022 Harm Reduction Summit, Aug 10-11, will highlight best practices, statutes, and policies related to implementing and maintaining harm reduction programs throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

This is hosted by Gateway District Health Department, in partnership with the Kentucky Department for Public Health, University of Kentucky HealthCare CECentral and the Kentucky Injury Prevention and Resource Center (KIPRC).
