Pop-Up Office: Social Innovation with Dr. Serenity Wright on July 18
Are you interested in Social Innovation? Dr. Serenity Wright, Associate Director of Social Innovation at UK Innovate, will be available to chat with CPH faculty and staff members on July 18 in CPH 201A. This Pop-Up Office is to offer those who may be interested in social entrepreneurial thinking, planning, and creating for their endeavors to chat with Dr. Wright on how to add social innovation into their projects.

The Angel Initiative proactively helps individuals battling substance use or misuse find treatment options that best fit their needs. These two briefs cover intake data for the Angel Initiative Program in 2019 and 2020, which is operated by the Kentucky State Police.

The integrated Kentucky Substance Use Research and Enforcement (K-SURE) collaborative regularly produces data reports/briefs to identify hot spots and drug threats in the state. This report is based on data from possession and trafficking citations, drug overdose-related deaths, emergency department visits, hospitalizations, submissions to the state police lab, and general drug overdose-related events on six major substances in Kentucky.

The Kentucky Injury Prevention and Research Center (KIPRC) researchers, staff members, and program partners presented on a variety of topics at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Overdose Data to Action (OD2A) Recipient Meeting this summer. KIPRC personnel delivered seven different presentations. KIPRC, along with its partners, implements OD2A strategies to impact Kentuckians’ drug overdose outcomes.
