We have changed our name from Project Linus to Sewing Sisters.Our focus now is on simple sewing projects for third world countries. We meet on the first and third Fridays of the month from 10 -12 in the Malawi room. If you enjoy easy machine sewing do think of joining us. We are a small and friendly group and would love to have you join us!

 Chelsea grew up in Harrisonburg, Virginia as the daughter of two opera singers and church musicians. She attended James Madison University for her undergraduate degree. She received her MD and PhD in microbiology from Virginia Commonwealth University and is currently in her final year of pediatrics residency at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. As a vocalist and flutist, Chelsea has been surrounded by music for most of her life. She was previously Alto Section Leader of the Richmond Symphony Chorus and is currently a singer in the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh. She lives in Brighton Heights with her partner, Douglas Burn, who is a professional organist and pianist and their two Boston Terriers, Kirby and Winston. In her spare time, she enjoys competing in triathlons, gardening, and cross stitching.

Northmont will soon be offering a New Members Class, scheduled to begin the week of September 17 (pending attendee availability). 

Over 3 sessions, gatherings will focus on the participants spiritual needs, along with useful information of what it means to be Presbyterian.

If you have been missing our Zoom chats over coffee, then wait no further! Our weekly time to get together (on Zoom) over coffee is returning in September, now with some new and different times to get together.

Moving forward, we are going to try having some of these chats in the morning as we did before, and some of them in the evening, with the hope that folks who can’t join us early in the day can chat later :)
