Dakota County Critical Issues Forum - Housing in Dakota County and What it Means for Businesses

Join us, virtually, Wednesday, October 21, 2020, from 10:00 AM - 11:15 AM for our next Critical Issues Forum - Housing in Dakota County and What it Means for Businesses. Affordable, quality housing is the backbone of our regional economy. It is critical to workers’ quality of life, enhances employers’ ability to expand and grow, and is vital to attract new businesses.

Our region is not producing enough workforce housing to meet the demand of our growing economy. Right now, one-in-five workers in the Twin Cities area housing cost-burdened, spending more than 30% of their income on housing. Against this backdrop, policymakers, municipalities, and regions across the state, non-profit, and business leaders are coming together to create a stronger commitment to the urgent need for more homes that are affordable for more Minnesotans.

Join us for a conversation with an interesting panel of government, business, and non-profit leaders about our region’s housing situation and what we can do to improve it.
