2021 DCR Chamber Golf Classic Right Around the Corner
The 15th Annual DCR Chamber Golf Classic is just over a month a way and we hope to see you there! Spend the day golfing at the beautiful Mendakota Country Club in Mendota Heights, while enjoying networking, entertainment, and friendly competition!

As part of the 15th Annual DCR Chamber Golf Classic, we will be hosting a silent auction. The proceeds of the silent auction will go towards the DCR Chamber Charitable Foundation and our scholarship award recipients in 2022.

Fun-Filled Flint Hills Family Festival Returns For 20th Year
Celebrate, nurture and advocate for the artist in every child at the 20th annual Flint Hills Family Festival, June 1-12! Presented by the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts and Flint Hills Resources, this year’s in-person and virtual festivities include student matinees, art-making activities, workshops, and performances by Dancing Familias Workshop, House of Dance, Koo Koo Kanga Roo, Native Pride Dancers, and Okee Dokee Brothers with Sonia de los Santo.

WomEn's Leadership Forum Scholarship Recipient Recognized as Teen Changing the World
The Dakota County Regional Chamber of Commerce would like to extend a congratulates to one of our 2021 WomEn’s Leadership Forum Scholarship recipients, Ankitha Kumar, for being named a People Magazine Teens Changing the World.

Ankitha, of Inver Grove Heights, is recognized for launching an online tutoring website to assist children struggling during online learning, helping more than 365 children, in all 50 states, and in 12 countries.

Public Affairs Webinar: Meet the Members of the Dakota County Legislative Delegation
The 2021 Legislative Session ended May 17, 2021 with a preliminary agreement on the budget. Agreement was reached on no new taxes, full conformity for PPP, and Unemployment Insurance, but many policy decisions remain.

Eagan State of the City Recap
On Thursday, May 27, 2021 The City of Eagan in conjunction with the DCR Chamber of Commerce held it's annual Eagan State of the City. Mayor Maguire shared stories of how Eagan continued to be a successful city, and a strong community in 2020 because of the community’s resilience and how the city adjusted, including services, programs, and policies that helped maintain essential services, and helped the Eagan community move forward through the pandemic. “Alexa, when is my electricity bill due?” Xcel Energy Unveils Amazon Alexa Skill to Help Customers Manage Bills 
Xcel Energy announced today a new Amazon Alexa skill, or voice app, that allows customers to easily manage their account and track their energy use. With this new Alexa skill customers can check their bill balance, compare their energy usage to last year, and be reminded of their payment due date. By enabling the free Amazon Alexa app, customers can simply say saying “Alexa, link my Xcel Energy account” to get started.
