Governor Tim Walz Announces Statewide Mask Mandate

On Wednesday, July 22, 2020 Governor Walz announced Executive Order 20-81 , a statewide mask mandate that will go into effect on Saturday, July 25, 2020.

The Executive Order requires Minnesotans to wear a face covering in indoor businesses and all public settings. Under the order, businesses must require that all persons -- including workers, customers, and visitors -- wear face coverings and take reasonable steps to enforce the requirement. There are other requirements for businesses; those can be found HERE under "Businesses' obligations under the Executive Order."

Commissioner Steve Grove announced that DEED and the Department of Administration are working with chambers of commerce across the state to supply businesses with masks. Dakota County Regional Chamber will receive a one-time shipment of disposable masks to distribute to businesses in Dakota County.

Please note, the masks are designated for your employees and customers only; list your request based on these needs only . We will do our best to accommodate your request, but we want to make sure all businesses who want masks are able to receive them.  This distribution event is on a first-come first-serve basis while supplies last.

Dakota County Regional Chamber of Commerce Distributing Free Masks

The Dakota County Regional Chamber of Commerce, in community partnership with Skyline Exhibits, will be distributing free masks for businesses in Dakota County, Wednesday, July 29, from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.  Your business does not need to be a Chamber member.  This will be a drive-through distribution event at Skyline Exhibits, located in Eagan. Masks are intended for the employees and customers of businesses in Dakota County.

This is a one-day, one-time, drive-through, distribution event that is first-come, first-serve, while supplies last.  Please complete this form by 12:00 PM on Monday, July 27, 2020.  To ensure we reach as many companies as possible, we are working to limit distribution to up to 4 boxes of 50 masks per company.  If we have extra masks after the distribution event, we will communicate with those businesses we were not able to accommodate.
