10th Annual WomEn's Leadership Forum Breaks the Glass Ceiling!
Our 10th Annual WomEn's Leadership Forum took place Friday, April 9, at the Radisson Blu Mall of America in Bloomington. This event was the DCR Chambers first large gathering since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was great to see our members and partners face-to-face for the first time in over a year, while celebrating and championing all women in the workplace.

The DCR Chamber of Commerce would like to acknowledge all of our sponsors, speakers, award recipients, and marketplace vendors who contributed in making the 10th Annual WomEn Leadership Forum a huge success. Without your support for the DCR Chamber of Commerce events like this would not be possible. A special thank you to Roshini Rajkumar for emceeing the 10th Annual WomEn's Leadership Forum; and also to the Radisson Blu Mall of America for creating a safe environment for our in-person attendees to gather.
Thank you Rodel Q. Photography for capturing the WomEn's Leadership Forum. Check out all the great photos of the WomEn's Leadership Forum HERE.

Join the DCR Chamber of Commerce as we continue our Critical Issues Forum series on Thursday, April 22, 2021, from 11:00AM - 12:00PM. From education, to the economy, to the digital divide, our communities are being impacted in ways we couldn’t have imagined. Please join us to hear from Dr. Laura Kalambokidis, Minnesota’s State Economist, and Susan Brower, State Demographer, for a discussion on these critical issues currently facing the state and Dakota County communities.

Dr. Laura Kalambokidis is Minnesota's State Economist, heading up the Economic Analysis unit at MMB, which is responsible for producing and presenting the state's revenue and economic forecasts, and had held the position since 2013.

Susan Brower is the Minnesota State Demographer and directs the MN State Demographic Center since February 2012. Susan's work applies an understanding of demographic trends to changes in a range of areas including the state's economy and workforce, education, health, immigration and rural population changes.

Virtual Town Forums - TCMC Second Train - What’s in it for the Twin Cities?
More than 10 million trips are taken between the Twin Cities and Chicago each year. More than 100,000 of those trips are on Amtrak, but there’s only one train per day, and it’s usually full. Adding a second train will benefit companies that ship by freight rail, the tourism industry, and, of course, travelers.

Learn more at the next Virtual Forum, April 22 from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m., sponsored by the Great River Rail Commission and co-hosted by the Dakota County Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Minneapolis Regional Chamber.

Who should attend:
  • Business leaders whose companies ship or receive product by freight rail
  • Leaders in the tourism industry (hotels, restaurants, events, attractions)
  • College or university officials
  • People who like to travel
  • College students

All meetings will be hosted via Zoom video conferencing and will feature representatives from each area. Learn more HERE
