MN DEED Launches Food Service Week of Action Campaign
In an effort to convey how important our food service industry is and to bring back workers safely, Governor Walz has directed his administration to launch an outreach campaign to members of the food service industry. The goal is to make sure food service workers are connected to the resources they need to get vaccinated.

On Tuesday, April 6, MN DEED is launching the Food Service Week of Action. During the week, the Administration will collaborate with our Food Service Industry Champions to drive food service employees to the COVID-19 Vaccine Connector

If you have questions as to how to assist your employees, please check out the Minnesota Department of Health’s Employer ToolkitThis is a one stop shop designed to direct employers to the resources they need to help their workforce get vaccinated safely and efficiently, and to provide materials to educate employees about COVID-19 vaccines.
Critical Issues Forum: Recovering, Reimaging, and Rebuilding

Join the DCR Chamber of Commerce as we continue our Critical Issues Forum series on Thursday, April 22, 2021, from 11:00AM - 12:00PM. COVID-19 has magnified the inequities that exist in all aspects of society. From education, to the economy, to the digital divide, our communities are being impacted in ways we couldn’t have imagined. Please join us to hear from Dr. Laura Kalambokidis, Minnesota’s State Economist, and Susan Brower, State Demographer, for a discussion on these critical issues currently facing the state and Dakota County communities.

Dr. Laura Kalambokidis is Minnesota's State Economist, heading up the Economic Analysis unit at MMB, which is responsible for producing and presenting the state's revenue and economic forecasts, and had held the position since 2013.

Susan Brower is the Minnesota State Demographer and directs the MN State Demographic Center since February 2012. Susan's work applies an understanding of demographic trends to changes in a range of areas including the state's economy and workforce, education, health, immigration and rural population changes.
