Farmington State of the City
Mayor Joshua Hoyt will be giving his first State of the City address since his election as Mayor of Farmington in 2020. Join the DCR Chamber and City of Farmington for this virtual State of the City, taking place Thursday, April 29, 2021 from 8:30AM - 10:00AM.

Mayor Hoyt will provide updates on what the city has accomplished in the last year along with what to look forward to in 2021. Mayor Hoyt is looking forward to celebrating Farmington businesses in his presentation and all they have accomplished in the last year.

SBA Announces Official Restaurant Revitalization Fund Application and Guidelines
Early last week the U.S. Small Business Administration announced key details on application requirements, eligibility, and a program guide for the Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RFF).

The restaurant industry has been among the hardest-hit sectors during the economic downturn caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. To help bring jobs back and revive the industry, the American Rescue Plan, signed into law by President Joe Biden, established the $28.6 billion Restaurant Revitalization Fund at the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). The SBA will administer the funds to the hardest-hit small restaurants.

SBA Reopens Shuttered Venue Operators Grants
for Applications 
The U.S. Small Business Administration reopened the Shuttered Venue Operators Grant application portal on, April 24, 2021, for operators of live venues, live performing arts organizations, museums and movie theaters, as well as live venue promoters, theatrical producers and talent representatives to apply for critical economic relief.

In preparation for the application portal reopening, the SBA recommends eligible applicants take the following actions:

For Shuttered Venue Operators Grant application portal technical assistance such as a password reset, browser suggestions, or how to use the multi-factor authentication with an app and the QR code, applicants can call 1-800-659-2955 or, for the deaf and hard-of-hearing 1-800-877-8339 and follow the prompts to SVOG assistance. The call center is open today from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and, starting Saturday, April 24, the center will be open 24 hours a day through Monday evening at 8 p.m.  
Ryan Schroeder, West St. Paul City Manager, to Retire
The DCR Chamber of Commerce would like to recognize and congratulate Ryan Schroeder, West St. Paul City Manger, on his upcoming retirement. Ryan has been the West St. Paul City Manager for the last four years and has served the city well. Ryan has also been actively involved in the DCR Chamber of Commerce in his four years as City Manger. Congratulations, Ryan, and good luck on the next chapter of your life.
