October: National Child Health Day

Children often can be much more vulnerable than adults when it comes to food allergies and other feeding issues. Since good health practices are most likely to remain for a lifetime when they begin during childhood, taking the steps towards a healthy childhood is important. In ITFDC, we follow the USDA food program in most of of our Child Care homes. ITFDC Providers follow the USDA program in providing healthy and well proportioned meals to the children in care. They receive training and follow specific guidelines when serving their meals. We are proud to say that healthy meals and outside play are the way to go in our Child Care homes!

WELCOME!

Lets welcome our new employee: Jennifer Burleson.

Jennifer Burleson is our new USDA Monitor/Office-Events Assistant. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and Emergency Management.

Jennifer is the mother of 5 wonderful children, 4 sons and 1 daughter, now all young adults.

Prior to joining ITFDC, Jennifer worked for many years as a Personal Care Manager for a Home Health provider; assessing patient environments and individual needs prior to as well as throughout their care. She managed a field-staff of various Home Health professionals (CNA’s, HHA’s, Companions, Nursing staff) for the department and was the POC for all time-management and payroll processing tasks/inquiries.
