Actor Ryan O'Neal passed this month at the age of 82. The cause of death has not been identified. But Ryan was diagnosed with chronic leukemia in 1992 and prostate cancer in 2012. He was an actor well known to both cinema lovers and TV fans.

In 1957 he appeared in the 'Wally Goes Steady' episode of the TV series "Leave It to Beaver".

Then in 1964 he starred on the ABC nighttime TV soap opera "Peyton Place". His role as Rodney Harrington boosted his career.

But it was the film "Love Story" (1970) which gained him movie stardom. He received both Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations as Best Actor for his role. Some of his other movies

were "Paper Moon" (1973),

"A Bridge Too Far" (1977) and

"The Driver" (1983). From 2005 to 2017 he had a recurring role as Max on the Fox TV series "Bones".
