With over 20 garden beds growing and 1/2 acre of sweet corn planted, I am so happy it rained. To the rest of our local farmers and gardeners, I bet you are happy it rained too! In fact I hope everyone feels a sense of gratitude for the extra inch or two in their rain gauge.
I also know that rainy days mean less outdoor fun. And if you have kids home for the summer, being stuck indoors can get crazy! To help you prepare for the summer season and upcoming rain days, I am going to share with you the premier locations in Walworth County to visit when seeking shelter from the elements. Here we go!
Starting in the heart of Elkhorn you will find Spark Play Studios and The Webster House Museum. Head south of town and find an amazing indoor playground at Lakeland Park. Take a right on Hwy 50 and enjoy a show at Dancing Horses Theater before hitting up Lake Geneva's Emagine Theater, Tristan Crist Magic Show or the Geneva Lake Museum. Keep heading east for indoor fun at Climb @ The Loop or Intents Inflatables in Burlington. And if you have gamers at home be sure to check out the Vintage Vault Arcade in Mukwonago!
Let's not forget the family fun waiting for you at Delavan Lanes or Lake Geneva Lanes.
And if you feel like staying in, you simply need to visit the fabulous Matheson Memorial Library for books, movies, video games, crafting kits and more! A perfect way to spend the day indoors!
