Understanding Your Aura
Monday, August 23 at 6:00 PM via Zoom
What is an aura? More importantly, how can knowing your aura improve your life? Sydney Sherman will identify the different aura colors and explain the distinct personality traits and characteristics that are attributed to these colors. Find out how your aura color can identify illnesses, stress, and emotional disturbances. Learn how the energies from others can affect your aura negatively or positively, and how you can protect your aura and even see auras in others.
Sydney Sherman has been educating others for more than four decades. Her background as an RN and intense interest in the sciences have been the driving force behind her learning. Click here for more info about Sydney

Birds of Prey presented by Wingmasters
Thursday, August 19 at 10:30 AM on the Library Lawn
Bring your blanket and come sit on the Library lawn and marvel at live birds of prey.
Raptors include hawks, falcons and owls, all native to New England and we will see a variety of them.
Jim Parks is a licensed wildlife rehabilitator. Families welcome.

Teen & Tween Craft Kits
Once every other week, pick up a craft from the library. This week we're doing inspirational tumblers! Stop by the library to get your supplies and directions. Crafts are limited so make sure to swing by the library to get your kit. They'll be available from August 16th - August 27th!
Teen Creative Writing Club

Let's make a short story! Every other week we’ll be discussing techniques on how to write a short story, from the characters to the plot to the dialogue. The goal is to write one short story by the end of the summer.

Friends of the LIbrary Mini Book Sale Continues - Inside & Out!
Be sure to stop by the Library and visit our carts outside (weather permitting) and our shelves just inside the library. Sales of puzzles and books pay for all the wonderful programming, prizes, museum passes and more. Thank you for your generosity! Also accepting jigsaw puzzles and children's books at this time. Please make sure puzzles have all pieces and books are in good, gently used condition. Please call the library before dropping off.

West Newbury Wild and Native - Bittersweet Challenge
Residents from West Newbury and adjacent towns passionate about promoting native plants, pollinator and wildlife-friendly gardening, along with controlling invasive plants. Our mission is to encourage public and private landowners to adopt practices to promote sustainable lands, one yard, one landscape, at a time. Please check out our new website at wnwildnative.org. We hope you will participate in the Bittersweet Challenge - under Invasives on the website. Late summer and fall programs are being planned so check back for updates.
