Dear ASID San Diego Members,
I am honored to step into the role of President for the ASID San Diego Chapter—and especially proud to be the first Industry Partner to serve as President of our chapter. I am truly excited about this opportunity to lead, collaborate, and grow our design community together.
This year, we will focus on strengthening communication, modernizing our digital presence, expanding membership, elevating public awareness of design, and supporting students—the next generation of design leaders. To keep members connected and inspired, I’m thrilled to announce the launch of our brand-new ASID San Diego Podcast, hosted by Rachel Crawford. Be sure to listen and follow for conversations that spotlight design talent, trends, and insights from our local community.
One of the most exciting pieces of programming I’m proud to introduce is our Design Gems series—four high-level events designed to inspire and educate. These will range from field trips to behind-the-scenes tours and talks from industry-leading designers. Our goal is to “meet members where they are,” ensuring that each event offers something of value—whether it’s new insight, inspiration, or connections.
And we won’t waste any time getting started! Our first official event is in collaboration with NARI: a Roaring 20’s Casino Night at ProSource San Diego. This will be a fantastic evening of networking with builders, contractors, and fellow designers while enjoying themed décor, a costume contest, casino-style gaming, and great food.
