2018 Bellevue Business Walk - We Asked…You Answered.

We hit the streets August through October to hear what individual business owners and managers had to say about how business is going. Our goal was to discover key business development and retention issues, listen to business needs, and learn about opportunities.

Bellevue’s Preliminary Budget is Here

Bellevue’s proposed 2019-20 budget has arrived and comes in at $1.7 billion, including $1.1 billion in operating expenditures and $534 million for the first two years of the CIP. As expected, increased resources are earmarked for our unfunded Law Enforcement Officers and Firefighters (LEOFF) pension liability, to the tune of $2,300,000 annually. The budget proposes a property tax increase of 1% in 2019 and 2020. Your Chamber budget team is unpacking these numbers and will report back with recommendations.

Election Day is
Almost Here!

This year’s general election day is less than two weeks away! Mark your calendar for Tuesday, November 6th, as the deadline to fill out and postmark your ballot. In addition to US Senator, Washington voters will have the chance to select from candidates for the Washington State Supreme Court, Court of Appeals and Legislature, and determine the fate of statewide ballot measures.

The Chamber has adopted positions in support of I-1634, taxation of groceries and in opposition to I-1631, carbon emissions fee.

Your Feedback is Important!
As an Eastside business leader, you are invited to participate in this survey on the economic outlook for 2019 for Bellevue and the Eastside. Your feedback is important and helps us determine the top priorities to build a strong local economy and maintain a vibrant business community. Results will be highlighted at the 2019 Economic Forecast breakfast on November 15.
