City Budget Hearing Around the Corner

Bellevue’s proposed 2019-20 budget has arrived and includes a proposed property tax increase of 1% in 2019 and 2020. This is due, in part, to a revenue forecast showing expenditures exceeding revenues by 2021 and reducing the ending fund balance below 25%.

We’ll take a closer look at the budget at Public Affairs on Thursday, November 15th at noon. In the meantime, mark your calendar for the final budget public hearing on Monday, November, 19th at 8pm and view our budget task force letter to Council here .
Winter Homeless Shelter Now Open

Beginning November 1st, the Eastside Winter Shelter, as operated by Congregations for the Homeless, opened its doors. The shelter is sited at Lincoln Center, located at 555 116th NE in the Wilburton Commercial Area.  Learn more about homeless services options.
