Getting You and Your Employees to Work Faster

Two bills have landed in Olympia that could shorten commute times for you and your employees. Chamber members and staff testified this past week in favor of SB 5896, making it easier for employers to operate their own shuttles – and pick up employees of adjacent businesses along the way. Next up is companion measure HB 1957. Listen to public testimony and contact Chris Johnson to find out how you can help move the needle.
Travel & Tourism Fast Facts

Travel and tourism has a major economic impact in our region- find out more in the 2019 Eastside Economic Strategy Guide. The guide is packed with 50 pages of information, market intelligence and insights designed to save you time and effort!

Connecting & Convening Leaders
Chamber Day 2019 is Here!

The countdown has begun – only T-6 until our annual lobbying expedition to the state capitol! Business leaders from ten Eastside Chambers will fan out across the capitol campus on Wednesday, February 27 and share our priorities with legislators from up and down the I-405 corridor.

This just in – we’ve arranged for a charter to take us to Olympia, so come and get on board!
Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century

Career and technical education is key to preparing the workforce of the future. Legislative leaders of both parties have turned their attention to this initiative. Join us at Public Affairs on Thursday, March 14 at noon , as former Seattle Chamber CEO Maud Daudon tells us what Career Connect WA is doing this Session to promote career pathways for students of all ages. This is the third of our monthly discussions on how the business community can have an impact on the legislative process in Olympia.

Chamber Public Affairs meets on the second Thursday of each month at noon, in the Microsoft Business Center at the Chamber office.
