Leaders Work Together to Solve One of Our Community's Top Challenges: Congestion Relief
Bellevue Chamber Past Chairs and Board members were out in force in Olympia yesterday. Business leaders met with legislators regarding top business priorities. We know that transportation mobility and infrastructure top the list of business challenges that impacts your employees, customers, and suppliers. So our delegation encouraged our 405 crescent legislative leaders to change old RCW’s to allow for new technologies to help get first/last mile (lower density areas not served by frequent transit) from their homes to established transit hubs. These changes would allow the marketplace to have shared employer shuttles and
incentivize the use of flexible van pools and transportation network companies to provide on-demand shared commute opportunities.

Support Bellevue Schools on February 13
To continue the high level of standards that businesses require in the workplace, your Chamber Board voted unanimously to endorse three Bellevue School levies on the ballot on February 13. We urge you to vote “YES” to support Bellevue Public Schools! The levies cover school district operations, technology and transportation. While the State Legislature did adopt a K-12 policy and funding package last Session, the transition to full state support for basic education will take a couple of years. Even then, the state won’t pay for seventh period classes, additional training days for teachers and the technology investments our students and families expect. To learn more about the levies and how to lend your support, visit the campaign webpage .
A*Mazing Adventures in Bellevue!

Remember back to the days of getting lost in a corn maze? At every corner in Bellevue you will see construction and detour signs directing you to try a different route. After taking a few new turns, I uncovered some amazing businesses offering an array of services. I am reminded to always be on the lookout for amazing opportunities and connections that may be just around a corner – unexpected detours that lead to new encounters.
