Ever Wanted to Help Fund a Startup? 
11 new companies are being launched this year through the Bellevue Young Entrepreneurs Academy. YEA! middle and high school students will pitch their business plans. You have the opportunity to help fund their companies through the Bellevue Chamber Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization! The Young Entrepreneurs Academy is a groundbreaking educational program that takes students in grades six through twelve through the process of starting and running real businesses over the course of a full academic year.

A World of Taste April 20 - Join Us for A Networking Adventure  
Peter Moore, Wine Professional and Co-Founder of Poco Wine and Spirits will take you on an adventure and tasting of wines from around the world. You'll learn the different profiles typical of the wines from different countries and delight in appetizers and sweets specially paired for your enjoyment. All party-goers will be entered into a drawing to win a FREE Oil & Vinegar Taste Club Membership valued at $175!

Commuter Alert: Overlake Park and Ride Lot to Close May 1
Sound Transit has announced the Overlake Park and Ride lot will close on May 1 due to East Link construction. A new 320 stall lot will be constructed on site and the Redmond Technology Center light rail station is expected to open in 2023.

Bellevue Way SE Project
Heads to Council
With a nod from the Transportation Commission, the Bellevue Way SE Project is headed to Council on April 24. The Chamber supports funding additional design work for Option 4 (narrow), a new lane from S. Bellevue Park and Ride to through the "Y" at Bellevue Way SE and 112th SE.

Legislative Update - Transportation Budget Adopted
With one week left in the Regular Session, the House amended and adopted the Senate's proposed Transportation Budget for 2017-19. There's plenty of good news for the Eastside, including construction dollars and a performance study of tolled and general purpose lanes on I-405.
