Policy Committees to Tackle Bellevue Way and Energize Eastside
And catch the latest on Puget Sound Energy's Energize Eastside Project at Public Affairs - Thursday, February 9 at 12 Noon. Please note: Meeting date was previously listed as February 16.

As we move into February, your Chamber advocacy agenda is heating up. Come to Transportation on Tuesday, February 14 at 7:30 AM - that's right, St. Valentine's Day, as the Bellevue Way SE Project Team gives a full briefing on project alternatives, costs and benefits.

All policy committee meetings are now held in the Microsoft Business Center at the Chamber office.
Legislature in Session -
Spotlight on Basic Education     
The Legislature has only been in action three weeks and the sparks are already flying. The House adopted HB 1059, postponing the so-called school "levy cliff" for another year. The Senate meanwhile, has introduced SB 5609, scrapping the current common school funding and salary formulas, while instituting a statewide property tax or "local effort levy" on behalf of local districts, capped at $1.80 per $1,000.00 of assessed value.

2016 Downtown Bellevue Condo Sales Summary 
Downtown Bellevue condo sales volume and prices increased every quarter through 2016, finishing strong in the 4th quarter with 57 sales averaging $739,740 a unit and $614/sq. ft. For the year, the median price of condos sold increased 10% to $650,000 and sales volume was up 14%. The average condo sales price finished at $773,908 and $603/sq. ft.
