Eastside Business Leader Survey:
Optimism for 2017 Continues
For the last 23 years the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce has done a business leader survey.  This snapshot of what our local leaders' view of the national, local economy and their projections for 2017 along with the top issues that keep them up at night has been an accurate indicator of the marketplace.

Finding Employees without Breaking the Bank
Because I'm in HR, I get a lot of friends and colleagues who ask me what are the best ways to attract quality talent without spending a huge amount of time and money? With my experience, I have found these three strategies work very well. First, do your best to retain the good people you already have because down time without an employee, recruiting and training are all costly. Secondly, incent your own employees to find or refer potential candidates through small monetary or reward considerations. Lastly, hire people you already know though networking and previous employment.

Developing Optimal Leadership
Why is developing leadership important? Having the drive, natural ability, or interest in leadership doesn't mean a person will be a good leader. It takes intentional effort and the ability to get honest feedback to attain peak performance.

Tis the Season for Holiday Giving
