We've had a busy April at The Guild! The Guild School held its annual egg hunt competition on the playground before school vacation week. Adults visited the Boston Symphony Orchestra this month. We also celebrated staff achievements and welcomed two new members to The Guild's Board of Trustees. Read on for more news from The Guild:

Teacher Appreciation Week is May 8-12, and we're planning a fun-filled week of space-themed treats and events for our "Out of this World" educators!

Guild staff go above and beyond every day to support each learner's unique needs. Our educators care deeply about Guild students and create fun, safe environments so they can flourish. The Guild's Isaac Mukwaya Honored with DSP of the Year Award

We're excited to announce that Isaac Mukwaya, Residential Assistant with Sudbury House, has been honored with the Direct Support Professional of the Year Award for Massachusetts by the American Network of Community Options and Resources (ANCOR)! ANCOR, a national association of community-based service providers, has over 2,000 members and receives hundreds of applications for its "DSP of the Year" awards annually. Congratulations, Isaac! The Guild Welcomes Trustees David Nathan and Will Kinlaw, CFA

The Guild welcomed two new members to its Board of Trustees this month. David Nathan has worked in advancement communications at mission-driven organizations for the last 20 years, including as director of communications and development at The Guild. He is currently director of communications and stewardship at Lasell University. David has volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters and was a youth baseball, basketball, and soccer coach.

Will Kinlaw, CFA, is senior managing director and head of research at State Street Global Markets, the capital markets business at State Street, where he is responsible for a global team of 50 data scientists, quantitative researchers and macro investment strategists as well as managing partnerships with data science start-ups and academics. He holds an M.S. in finance from Boston College, a B.A. in economics from Tufts University, and a CFA designation.

Guild Featured on NBC10 Boston and Wicked Local

This month, The Guild School's playground was featured on NBC10 Boston and the Massachusetts Wicked Local page after being named one of the most inclusive playgrounds in America by Soliant Health! View the video clip here and the Wicked Local article here.
