The Guild has been busy this December! We are celebrating the holiday season, the end of the year, and recent graduates. There are new articles on the blog about the transition from youth to adult services, as well as a unique fundraising challenge The Guild participated in with Oracle-NetSuite. Looking forward to 2026, there are exciting projects to come, including a new documentary about the use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication devices in our community. Your support makes all this and more possible each year. Wishing you a happy holiday season!

AAC Documentary

We are excited to release a mini documentary that shares the stories of 5 individuals in The Guild community who use AAC and other types of communication in their daily lives.

Stay tuned for more details, including how to see the film at a special premiere event for The Guild community in January!

Support The Guild

With donor support, opportunities for meaningful work, friendship and belonging, adventure, and independence become part of daily life at The Guild.

Right now, your gift goes twice as far! A generous member of The Guild community is matching gifts up to $20,000 for first-time annual appeal donors — and for anyone who doubles their most recent gift — matched up to $1,000 per donor. Together, we can make the year ahead one of joy, connection, and possibility.

It takes a village

Families of individuals with significant intellectual and developmental disabilities often face an overwhelming transition when their child approaches age 22 and becomes eligible for adult services. Navigating options, understanding eligibility, and identifying the right supports can be daunting.

For Jeannette P. and her son, Robbie, the process began years before he reached adulthood. Read more on the blog.

Holiday activities at The Guild

This month has been busy with festive events at the school and in the residences. Each adult house has hosted its own holiday party for family and friends, youth houses have held decorating and cookie parties, the school has visited the Enchanted Village and participated in Spirit Week to get excited for the holiday break.

Several of the adult houses attended a breakfast with Santa, hosted by Autism Eats. The event was featured on WBZ's Changemakers segment, which is available to watch here.

Collaborative outreach takes fundraising further

The Guild was honored to be selected by Oracle-NetSuite's Burlington office as their chosen nonprofit organization for the Social Impact Challenge. They worked in teams to provide us with potential outreach points, new leads, and actionable strategies for establishing corporate sponsorships aligned with The Guild’s strategic plan.
