The Guild has been busy this February! We have been celebrating the release of our documentary "We Need to Talk," at the community premiere and on YouTube. The Waltham Times covered one of the local businesses featured in the film as an example of inclusivity in a recent article. Individuals at The Guild have also been celebrating Valentine's Day at the school and their abilities at a talent show hosted by the adult program. Finally, certified instructors in the healthy relationships curriculum share their experiential expertise in the power of education for individuals with IDD on the blog.

Now showing: "We Need to Talk"

Everyone has a right to be heard. The Guild premiered our mini documentary "We Need to Talk" at the Maynard Fine Arts Theater at the beginning of the month. See the photo gallery from the red carpet and speaking program of the friends and family event.

Inclusivity highlighted in the Waltham Times

For former Guild School student Tiny, Banh Mi Oi in Waltham is a welcoming place to enjoy her favorite Vietnamese food. Read more about how the restaurant has been inclusive from the start in this article from The Waltham Times.

Compliments and sweet treats for Valentine's Day

Students at The Guild School hosted a compliment booth for their peers to celebrate Valentine's Day, inviting them to create personalized cards for staff and friends. In cooking group, other students baked heart-shaped cakes and decorated them with colored icing and festive sprinkles.

The Guild's got talent!

Adult residents showed off their skills at a showcase with singing, dancing, and musical instruments. Everyone had the opportunity to sign up for a time slot, and each participant received an award for their courage to perform in front of an audience.
