The sky's the limit for school nurse Sandra Kalambayi

In 2019, Sandra Kalambayi accepted a position as an Overnight Residential Assistant with The Guild's youth program. Flash forward five years, and Sandra is still with The Guild - but now, in the capacity of School Nurse.

The Guild celebrates Black History Month

The Guild for Human Services is proud to celebrate Black History Month, a time for celebration, commemoration, and commitment to furthering racial justice everywhere.

Inequities in health outcomes, pay, housing access, education opportunities and more exist for Black Americans everywhere. These disparities widen for folks with disabilities and other intersecting identities. This month and every month, we honor the critical influences and contributions of Black and African American people and take action to pursue racial justice at the local and national levels.
February marks Low Vision Awareness Month

This month, we recognize the challenges millions of people in the United States face with low or impaired vision.

At The Guild, providers support students and adults with low vision with modified environmental designs to increase navigation access, like painted stairways to create contrast for ease of use. We also partnered with Artists For Humanity to provide colorful wayfinding murals on the walls of The Guild's headquarters. Check out photos here!
