The Guild has been busy this January! As we wind down from the holidays and reflect on the last year, we are also gearing up for new events and an exciting year ahead. In just a few days, The Guild will premiere our mini documentary "We Need to Talk," which focuses on the use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) across different settings and throughout the lifespan.

"We Need to Talk" Premiere

The premiere of our mini documentary has been rescheduled to February 2. There is still time to reserve your seat!

The film shares the stories of 5 individuals in The Guild community who use AAC and other types of communication in their daily lives.

Accessible recreation

Access to recreation should be equitable across ability and season. Several residents at The Guild had the opportunity to participate in adaptive skiing with Waypoint Adventure and the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation Universal Access Program.

We're grateful to our partners for expanding access and supporting meaningful inclusion. Read more and see highlights from the day in this feature from the Weston Observer.

Creating holiday magic

Students and residents at The Guild celebrated a joyful holiday season thanks to support from individual donors, state funding, Santa, and partners like DJ's Holiday Smiles. Named after her son DJ, The Guild’s Board Chair Michelle Peters and her family began the organization as a way to share smiles with everyone around the holidays, regardless of their abilities, challenges, or living situation. A group of staff and parents from both the youth and adult programs also donated their time as gift wrappers at our annual "Wrap-a-palooza," helping to get all the gifts organized and wrapped before the holiday break.

Thank you for supporting The Guild's mission

We’re pleased to report that our 2025 year-end campaign met its full matching goal and raised more than $110,000 to support our programs and services. This outcome reflects the confidence our donors place in our mission and our shared commitment to long-term impact.

Read about the work your gift can support in our 2024-25 Annual Report.
