It's been an exciting January here at The Guild! Students and residents had a blast wrapping up holiday celebrations and participating in winter fun at the houses. This month also saw the first class of Leadership Employee Advancement and Development (LEAD) graduates. Other highlights included the installation of a new mural in The Guild School, a Guild staff shout-out in ADDP's annual calendar, and graduation ceremonies. Read on for more news from The Guild:

Evan T. celebrates five years of employment with Market Basket
Evan, a resident of The Guild's Dedham House, recently celebrated his five-year work anniversary with Market Basket. The Guild, his employer and his job coach worked together to ensure that he was supported with appropriate accommodations throughout the pandemic. Guild School unveils new mural
Students and adult residents contributed drawings that are now on display in a new mural featured in the downstairs hallway of our school building. Thanks to our friends with Artists for Humanity for assisting with the installation of this work of art! View photos of the mural here.
Linda Grace featured in ADDP's annual calendar
"Working with individuals with intellectual disabilities has taught me a lot about myself, my values, and how I relate with others," says Linda Grace, residential care professional with The Guild. LEAD program celebrates first class of graduates
Participants in The Guild's inaugural Leadership Employee Advancement and Development (LEAD) class gave final presentations last month and have graduated from the program. Students had the opportunity to collaborate across departments and participate in a mentorship initiative designed to support emerging leaders within The Guild. Read more on our blog.
