The Guild is gearing up for the holiday season! It's a busy time of year, with holiday traditions and celebrations taking place at The Guild School and residences. Photos from these events are included in this newsletter with more to come on our social media channels! Read on for more about resources for parents and guardians, the 10th anniversary of the adult program, and a new opportunity to get official Guild merchandise.

DDS 101: What you need to know

Parents and families of students 16 and older are invited to attend an upcoming information session about DDS. The session will cover topics such as transitioning to adult services, eligibility, self-direction, and autism supports.

Register for the info session on December 10.

Friendsgiving

The Guild marked the beginning of a busy holiday season with various celebrations focused on food, friends, and fun! Adult residences have their own traditions for celebrating the holidays each year and The Guild School students enjoyed a festive feast in the cafeteria.

10 years of the adult program

The Guild manages 15 adult homes, each with a different dynamic and backstory, underscoring the individuality and diversity of our residents.

The adult program has accomplished a great deal in the last 10 years, largely due to the dedicated staff that have grown with the program and helped shape it along the way.

Read more about how the program has evolved on our blog.

MASS Self-Advocacy Conference

A group of adult residents had the opportunity to learn from peers and network with other self-advocates at the Massachusetts Advocates Standing Strong conference last month. Photos from the day are available here.

The Guild is a proud sponsor of the conference.

The Guild School Open House

Staff, parents, and guardians came together at The Guild School for our annual Open House event. Clinicians and educational staff put together educational displays about student services and presented pristine classrooms to tour.

See photos from the evening here.
