September was busy at The Guild! Fall is off to a great start with back-to-school events, a partnership with our nonprofit neighbors at IMPACT Melanoma, and a staff appreciation day to acknowledge the dedication of our direct support professionals. We are also celebrating your support of The Guild through a Board-hosted fundraiser and the upcoming Flutie 5K. Finally, we are excited to have another way to connect with you–join us on TikTok!

Direct Support Professionals Recognition Week

DSPs at The Guild provide compassionate, innovative care to those they serve. To recognize these outstanding employees for their drive and dedication to what they do, we highlighted five residential teams on social media and the blog.

The Guild made our TikTok debut from our staff appreciation event for the adult program. Listen to a message of gratitude from the associate directors here.

Back-to-school at The Guild

Chief Education Officer Annie Willis hosted a Back-to-School Webinar this month to preview the events happening throughout the year.

Coming up next: The Guild School is hosting a Scholastic Book Fair starting on October 6! Parents and guardians can add funds to your student’s Scholastic e-Wallet ahead of time so they can make purchases independently at the fair.

Collaborating for community sun safety

At a recent social event held at the main offices in Concord, The Guild connected with staff from IMPACT Melanoma and recognized a unique opportunity to collaborate.

“The collaboration with The Guild has provided us with volunteers to fulfill material requests and provide regular support to our sunscreen dispensers in Concord and Bedford," says Deb Girard, Executive Director of IMPACT Melanoma.

Family and friends gather in support of The Guild

Board Chair Michelle Peters and her husband Donnie hosted a fundraiser in support of The Guild this month. Family and friends came together to enjoy food, live music, and conversation about our mission and programs.
