In the last 36 hours, 400 meals were packed and distributed all over Walworth County in an effort to share the feast and favor of Thanksgiving. I cannot tell you the depths of my gratitude for each business, organization, man, woman and child who contributed to this effort. It was an all-hands-on-deck undertaking that included coordinators, chefs, venues, benefactors and volunteers! My heart is full...and so will be the bellies of the individuals who received OVER a pound of food from this year's Community Thanksgiving Meal!
Thank you to the Nicholas D. Sergi Foundation for saying, "Yes", to underwriting the entire meal for 2023. It was a beautiful reminder that GIVING MAKES YOU SMILE!
Our hats go off to Evergreen Golf Course! Thank you for saying, "Yes", to the use of your amazing venue to pack and distribute meals and to the one and only "Fonz" for cooking over 80 Turkeys, piles of mashed potatoes and stuffing along with delicious green beans. Not to mention the side salad and dinner roll that went to every guest! And a special thanks to Baker Meister and the Elkhorn School District for making our meal awesome!

Southern Lakes Evangelical Free Church, thank you for saying, "Yes", to gather almost 30 men, women and youth to help pack and distribute each of these meals. What a mighty task to be met with smiles and joy from each person who served.
This two-day event came at the perfect time. While it definitely added to the busyness, it also helped highlight what we have to be thankful for as we gather together with family and friends and share in our own feast to salute the Thanksgiving holiday.
