Local Okanagan Organization Offers Free Financial Education Classes

In a recent survey commissioned by the Charted Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA), nearly one-third of respondents say the stress they have regarding the management of their money has increased as a result of COVID-19. In response to this need, Launch Okanagan is offering free virtual financial education classes called “Dollars and Sense”- a financial education program designed to increase financial competency and boost confidence for anyone that wants to improve their financial situation and learn ways to manage their money more effectively. The next program starts February 16 6:00-7:30pm.

UPDATE: PHO Order on Gatherings and Events Extended Indefinitely
|

By order of the PHO, all gathering and events are suspended indefinitely to significantly reduce COVID-19 transmission related to social interactions. The order came into effect November 19, 2020 at midnight and will be kept in place until further notice based on direction from the PHO. Funding Supports Businesses to Launch Online

The new Launch Online Grant program is designed to help over 1,500 eligible small- and medium-sized BC businesses adapt to changes in consumer behaviour and pivot to market their products online. The B.C. government is investing $12 million to help businesses launch or upgrade an online store that will provide the platform they need to increase their sales revenues, become more competitive and grow.
