Welcome Back
The market has returned to Duke of Gloucester Street! In order to re-open amidst a pandemic, the board, staff, vendors and volunteers are working hard to ensure the market is a safe place for all.

Here's what you can expect:

Per VDACS market regulations, dogs must be 10-20 yards (30-60 feet) away from any tent that sells food; therefore,  dogs are not permitted  inside the market at this time. This is a food safety regulation, and so service animals must also stay out of and away from vendors' tents.

Vendors cannot attend if they are sick, or if they've been exposed to anyone with COVID.

Everyone entering the market is required to wear a mask. We have extra if you forget yours. Should you have a breathing issue or medical condition that causes you to not wish to wear a mask, please have someone wearing a mask enter the market to shop for you.

When you enter the market at the entrance on Henry Street, we ask that you shop side to side and towards the exit on Nassau Street, and not walk against the one direction traffic flow. We will have volunteers and staff ready to answer questions, provide a market map, explain our COVID safety plan, and maintain a safe number of shoppers in the market. The safety plan is below this message.

The market is encouraging low-touch and no-touch purchases. Please point at what you wish to purchase, and the vendor will bag it for you. Vendors may accept cash, credit, or tokens. All vendors accept cash, most accept credit and all (except the wineries) accept tokens. You can purchase tokens before you enter the market. The tent is set up in front of the William & Mary Bookstore.

If you utilize SNAP or P-SNAP benefits at the market, there is an unlimited match on fruits and vegetables. So for every $1 you spend, you will receive an additional $1 to spend on fruits and vegetables. We will also continue offering our POP+ match and the market match.

Pre-orders are helpful, but not required. Pre-ordering helps vendors to know how much to bring, and guarantees you will get what you want.  If you pre-order, you can skip the regular market line and enter using the dedicated pre-order entrance. Volunteers will be happy to point you in the right direction. Just ask anyone in a green shirt! Pre-orders are picked up directly from the vendor between 8 am and noon. There will also be 4 parking spots designated for pre-order pick up in the P4 lot behind the Colonial Williamsburg ticket window. If you pre-order and are at higher risk you can pick up your orders before the market opens between 7:30 am and 8:00 am. To pre-order,  shop here , the online store will be open from Saturday through Wednesdays at midnight.

The market will have extra volunteers in bright green shirts to help answer questions and ensure a safe experience for all. If you have any questions, they should be walking throughout the market, ready to help.

As always, we look forward to seeing you at the market!
